The annual Missions conference at Antioch Bible Baptist Church has just concluded and my soul has been juiced. So many highlights to mention, but let me mention just two.

I have been asked by leadership at Glenwood Baptist Church to speak for two hours on Suffering - specifically in ministry and the sovereignty of God on Thursday Evening, October 23rd.

Listening to me for two hours will give you hands-on practical experience with suffering. --Insert laugh track...

Debbie and I just saw alligators and crocodiles in Florida - the only place in the world where both are to be found in the wild. Here is my observation: Christians are like alligators in this sense - we are cold-blooded by nature. Not calculating or carnivorous, just unable to generate our own spiritual heat.

Church planting is emotionally painful.

There, I said it outloud and in print. Well, won't that scare away prospective planters, you ask? Hopefully. The tough will remain.

You must be driven to stay out of your desire to return to your comfort zone. Every day. No exceptions.

It has finally happened! I have been counted worthy to be called out and named as dangerous. Along with the early church leaders, I count it an honor to be misaligned.

A young man doing research on our church, since he has been attending regularly made me aware that I am personally named as a sect leader in Aschaffenburg on an internet site, even providing my home address. I have no idea what the reason for providing my personal address would be and thankfully to this point no mob has shown up with pitchforks, torches and tar.
