Rick Warren stated:

A great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a great Christian and will grow a great church.

1. The Great Commission Church Planting Foundation is a church planting effort with the goal to plant 100 new churches every ten years - in perpetuity.

We have a process to vet church planters in various countries in the Majority World.

You can set up a legacy endowment or support a church planter on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

2. VETTING: Planters are vetted then instructed as to what the partnership looks like - a two year commitment. All the men have completed Bible school training.

3. MECHANICS:

  • No Foundation funds are used for overhead, travel  or administration fees.
  • Foundation funds are used exclusively for funding a church planter - the goal is creating an indigenous church.
  • Funds are not used for church projects.
  • A missionary receives the funds quarterly- automatically withdrawn from our dedicated stateside bank account, who sends them to a national/regional director who distributes funds via cell phone.
  • The recipient receives three months of salary at one time. The exchange rate fee is deducted from their funding.
  • All documentation is in place for one spouse to oversee the continuation, plus Keith and Debbie's children will continue to administrate the details.
  • An annual audit of funding and expenditures is available upon request.

4. SALARY AMOUNT:

  • The amount is set by the missionary and director who understand the culture and current economic state.

5. CAVEAT

  • Families do not live on the amount given - it is just one income stream.
  • Wives also bring an income stream via selling vegetables or eggs at the market.
  • A third stream is a partial salary from the church plant.

6. MENTORING

Keith Gandy speaks with these men daily via WhatsApp. He shares stories of personal evangelism and discipleship or prays with them personally via Skype. He has visited Togo and Kenya, Uganda is on the schedule for July 2025.

Current Projects: Kenya, Uganda, Togo - 11 planters. The planter in Togo has already launched a second church.

7. PARTICIPATION

A commitment to a planter at the current rate of support for two years is a total of $1200. That is an agreement that a supporter can send monthly, quarterly, annually or in full. 100% goes to a planter. The foundation receives no support, does not pay any salaries, does not pay for travel - those fees and expenses are paid personally.

Set up a recurring donation which will be directed to a church planter via this link

Current monthly support for a planter in East Africa is $50.00. This can be set up as a monthly, quarterly, annually or one-time gift in full.

I suggest setting it up via a Long-Term Projects designation.

By pressing the button "Give", you will have the next form where you can set up the frequency and the date for the donation to be made.

  • No funds will be appropriated for anything other than the support for the church planter.
  • No fees will be charged by the Baptist Bible Fellowship Int. The BBFI will send a tax-deductible receipt.
  • We will set up an email update to be sent to your email address from your assigned planter. Those are sent as we receive updates. The planter will not contact you.

8. AVAILABILITY
