During a week's vacation in Italy we met and were inspired by some passionate people during our stay - here is a cross-section of those encounters.

I am the caretaker of three apartments rented to tourists. The owner is a lovely older woman and I like and respect her. I do not find my English to be very good, but I enjoy international guests. Giulia made our stay in Monte San Savino a delight.

I finished my schooling at the ninth grade and have worked at this restaurant for 11 years. It would be my life goal to buy and own this establishment in Florence. (Editor: The owner told me that this place was his baby and he'd never sell. With her passion and drive, I would place my bet on Valentina.) if you are in Florence eat at the La Sosta de' Gelosi - great food.

Although I did not speak with this man in Montepulciano, it was evident that he has a lifetime of experience creating art by hammering a chisel into thin sheets of metal. His creations were amazing and he had a list of orders for that day on his workbench. He works with each customer finding the names of their children and grandchildren, then etches and hammers a copper plate.

Four and a half years ago we located in Florance, Italy because it is our passion to plant a gospel-preaching church in this city. We have been able to carve out a nucleus of believers, both International and Italien. We seek to lead others into a loving, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. |
