Ministry is always good for a surprise. Some of them are ones that make you weep, some make you laugh.

Recently I have experienced both in just a span of a few days.

When marriages fail, it always takes my breath away and leaves me sleepless at night.

Finding out that acquaintances are brothers in Christ is a great surprise.

When church services do not go off as polished as I would prefer, mostly it causes me to chuckle.

May our great God always be pleased as we lean heavily into Him - our frailty is what funnels all honor to Him. My limitations are humbling, yet tell the story of His great grace: He works in spite of my limits.
