Ice cream

The reward for enduring life is coming to the stage and age in life so that you can have ice cream anytime you like.

If you are young, it will give you a stomach ache, if you eat the portions you desire.

If you are married and have children, you never really get a chance to keep ice cream in the freezer - empty cartons are left behind, but no one ever confesses to having done it.

If you are single - you feel pathetic for consuming large portions of chocolate by yourself, in the dark.

So when a person perseveres to the stage where discretionary income permits, and one has given up just a little of ever being physically tone again - ice cream becomes almost medicinal.

Marrakech: Part 4: Shopping

Oils, herbs, spices, antiques, carpets, leather goods - all the ingredients to put a smile on the face of a wife. And so it was with Debbie - priceless, if you ask me.

Narrow, covered shopping streets with individual shops. All the vendors suddenly have become my "good friend". Bartering is the standard - a learned skill. The vendors are relentless: "What is your best offer?" They counter, attempting to squeeze just a little more out of you. Even when I walk away, the deal is not done. They chase me down and realize that it really was my final offer.
