Easter 2012 was a celebration of Jesus' victory over death and sin. Our emphasis was that there is a historical event that has to be considered. The fact that a person claiming to be God incarnate, and that his identity would be verified through crucifixion and resurrection is so utterly crazy that it just might be true. Think of it: God desires a relationship with a people who has turned Him a cold shoulder.

While we considered the evidence, much like a jury would hear the evidence presented by a prosecuting attorney, the drama shifts when it is the jury finds itself becoming the accused. Only because Jesus has taken our penalty do we find judicial mercy. It is a story that never ceases to bring me goose bumps.

Even better, we witnessed three adults who followed in believer's baptism. Easter just doesn't get any better.

Following the services we heard an update report from the missionary we have sent to Lithuania. Marian and Maria Kozak have been in Alythus for 8.5 years and have outgrown their present meeting location. In May they plan to relocate to house their expanding church.

The Kozaks have invited me to visit them and consult with them for further growth strategy. It is thrilling to watch as God continues His great outreach. He absolutely loves the local church. We should also.
