We are stewards and not owners (1. Cor. 4:2; 1. Cor. 6:2) - one area of stewardship that is often overlooked is our physical health.
Here are some random thoughts about being a steward of our health.
It was the friends of Job there were far off in their assessment so we have to be very careful when we dress another's help these are for introspection not for judging another.
The creation is fallen, following the introduction of sin, and we await the perfection of our bodies. Until then we will constantly be dealing with the effects of sickness upon our bodies. The apostle apostle Paul prayed three times that God would take away the physical affliction from him God reminded him that there is a purpose behind everything and that his grace would be sufficient in every area of his life.
It has been said: I'd rather burn out than rust out. Remember, in both cases the result is being out. Further ministry is procluded.
I've had two surgeries this year and currently am in a two-week stay at a special clinic and therefore my thoughts are about retanking - building up new energy and creativity for better and more effective service.
